Cherry Wine Pollen Donor

Cherry Wine has become an industry standard known for its high oil content, reliable CBD: THC ratios, and overall high-quality yield. These qualities made it the pollen donor of choice for our 2019 feminized seed catalog. The Cherry Wine is a relatively quick maturing variety, finishing before the end of October. We have observed that Cherry Wine maintains a compliant CBD: THC ratio in our hybrids, as well as ensuring rapid trichome development and dependable tropical fruit terpenes.

Finishing time: Middle (6-8 weeks)
Average CBD: THC ratio- 27:1

Cobbler Parent Profile

Cobbler may be the fastest finishing hemp strain we have grown so far. Our phenotype was selected for its strong branch structure, vigorous growth, and beautiful citrus terpenes. Ideally suited for greenhouse or light dep farmers looking for multiple cycles of high-quality smoke able hemp. Cobbler’s early maturing characteristics makes this hybrid suitable for the first hybrid to be harvested from the field in a staggered harvest scenario.

Sweetgrass Parent Profile

Sweetgrass is a  hybrid bred from the Otto II Franklin phenotype and Cobbler with open pollination. It was selected from a large population as being the strongest phenotype in terms of overall vigor, yield, branch strength, and early resin production. With cool temperatures, this phenotype finishes purple with hints of red. Rapid trichome development will require the farmer to monitor THC levels and harvest on time.Colorado Sweetgrass hybrids are likely to use up every inch of 4’ x 4’ spacing with proper soil preparation and planting time.

  • Maturation Time: Variable, generally mid length finishing time across population (~6 weeks) - Well suited for growers with a longer growing season
  • Population Average CBD: THC Ratio: 25:1

Chardonnay Parent Profile

Chardonnay produces beautiful purple flowers dotted with pink pistils. The overall potency of Chardonnay is slightly lower than that of its parent, the Cherry Wine, butan increased yield is expected. This is a Sativa dominant phenotype that grows into enormous bushes that may be the most beautiful plants in the field. Its airy bud structure will make Chardonnay a good choice for farmers in humid areas, where bud mold may be an issue. Chardonnays late finishing characteristics make it the perfect variety to round out a staggered harvest when drying space is limited. Plant spacing is soil and climate dependent but plan to give the Cherry Tart more room than other varieties, at least 4’ x 4’.

Finishing time: Late (8 weeks or greater)
Average CBD: THC ratio- 25:1

The Wife Parent Profile

The Wife produces top quality flowers that could be found on the shelves of a Denver dispensary. Dense flowers, early resin production, and a Sativa dominant branch structure are some defining characteristics of this phenotype. The Wife is a good choice for people growing for clones, as it is shown to be a fast rooter with a generous number of cuttings offered per plant. The plant structure is very similar to our phenotype of the Cherry Wine, but with a lower yield.

T1 Parent Profile

T1 is also becoming an industry standard, favored by high-altitude farmers due to its early finishing time. The plants tend to be stocky Indica dominant bushes that show strong resistance to pests and disease. T1 retains its noticeably dark green color throughout flower, where purple and reds are seen near harvest in colder temps. Overall growth is slower compared to more the Sativa dominant strains (Sweetgrass, Chardonnay) and tighter plant spacing should be utilized, such as 3’ x 3’.
